Instructions
Turn on the Instant Pot and select the 'Sauté' function. Add the olive oil and let it heat up for about 1 minute.
Add the ground beef to the pot, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until browned, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even cooking.
Once the beef is browned, add the beef broth, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and dried oregano. Stir to combine.
Secure the lid on the Instant Pot and set the valve to 'Sealing'. Select the 'Pressure Cook' or 'Manual' setting and set the timer for 5 minutes at high pressure.
After the cooking time is complete, perform a quick release by carefully turning the valve to 'Venting'. Once the pressure is fully released, open the lid.
Stir the ground beef to ensure it's evenly coated with the cooking liquid. If desired, use a slotted spoon to transfer the beef to a serving dish, leaving excess liquid behind.
Notes
Chef's Tips:• For a leaner version, use 90/10 ground beef, but you may need to add a bit more broth to prevent sticking.• Avoid over-stirring the beef during sautéing to prevent it from becoming too dense.• Serve with rice or use in tacos, burritos, or pasta dishes for versatile meal options.Food Safety:• Ensure ground beef reaches an internal temperature of 160°F (71°C) for food safety.• Store cooked ground beef in the refrigerator within 2 hours of cooking.
