Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh mint leaves Packed tightly
  • 2 tbsp White vinegar Distilled or white wine vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Sugar Granulated
  • 1/4 cup Boiling water
  • Salt To taste

Instructions

  • Finely chop the fresh mint leaves and place them in a heatproof bowl.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the white vinegar and sugar until the sugar dissolves completely.
  • Pour the boiling water over the chopped mint, then immediately add the vinegar-sugar mixture.
  • Stir well to combine all ingredients. Let the sauce sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Season with salt to taste before serving.
