Equipment

  • Baking sheet
  • Parchment paper or silicone baking mat
  • Large mixing bowl
  • Spatula

Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes peeled and cut into 1/4-inch thick fries
  • 2 olive oil
  • 1 sea salt
  • 1/2 black pepper
  • 1/2 paprika optional, for added flavor

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
  • In a large bowl, toss the sweet potato fries with olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated. Arrange the fries in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet, ensuring they don't overlap.
  • Bake for 15 minutes, then flip the fries using a spatula. Continue baking for another 10-15 minutes, or until the fries are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and let the fries cool for a few minutes before serving. This helps them crisp up further.

Notes

Chef's Tips:
• For extra crispiness, soak the cut sweet potatoes in cold water for 30 minutes before baking to remove excess starch.
• Avoid overcrowding the baking sheet to ensure even cooking and crispiness.
• Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor.
Food Safety:
• Ensure sweet potatoes are stored in a cool, dark place before use.
• Refrigerate leftovers within two hours of cooking.
