Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 1 10 oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter

Instructions

  • In a large saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Once melted, add the mini marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. This should take about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until well coated. Work swiftly to avoid the mixture setting too early.
  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Use a spatula or your hands (lightly greased) to press the mixture evenly into the pan.
  • Allow the Rice Krispie Squares to cool at room temperature for about 20 minutes, or until set. Cut into 16 squares and serve.

Notes

• For a chewier texture, use fresh marshmallows and press the mixture lightly into the pan
